if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will
not forgive your sins.
‘This

Genesis
50:19-20

are to bring to the priest as a guilt offering a ram from the flock, one
without defect and of the proper value. In this way the priest will make
atonement for them for the wrong they have committed unintentionally, and they
will be forgiven.
In
this way the priest will make atonement for them before the Lord, and they will be forgiven for
any of the things they did that made them guilty.”
With
the ram of the guilt offering the priest is to make atonement for him before
the Lord for the sin he
has committed, and his sin will be forgiven.
In
accordance with your great love, forgive the sin of these people,
just as you have pardoned them from the time they left Egypt until now.”
The Lord replied, “I have forgiven
them, as you asked.
The
priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will
be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have presented to
the Lord for their wrong
a food offering and a sin offering.
The
whole Israelite community and the foreigners residing among them will
be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional
wrong.
The
priest is to make atonement before the Lord for
the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made,
that person will be forgiven.
The Lord will never be willing

replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.” “You have
judged correctly,” Jesus said.

I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown.
But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
Then
Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
The
other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives
sins?”
Forgive us

us not into temptation.’”
And
everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but
anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
So
watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and
if they repent, forgivethem.
Even
if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you
saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
Jesus
said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are
doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all

replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ

of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he

for the Offender ] If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much
grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too
severely.

overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.

anything to forgive—I haveforgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,
How
were you inferior to the other churches, except that I was never a burden to

In

accordance with the riches of God’s grace

whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Bear
with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance
against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
For
I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no

In
fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and
without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
And
where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.
And
the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise
them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
[ Light
and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness ] This is the message we have
heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at
all.
If
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins
and purify us from all unrighteousness.
[ Reasons
for Writing ] I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins
have been forgiven on account of his name.
